Skeleton anatomy essay
1. I started off trying to think of a skeleton to make for this project and was lost at first. I saw in class a couple different approaches on different skeletons my peers made. I got inspired by this skeleton my friends showed me and that made me want to make a skeleton out of q-tips. My friend made his out of q-tips and folded paper but I didn’t want to copy everything so I searched up a youtube video on different q-tip skeletons. The youtuber was a girl and she made a really nice, simple skeleton that I really liked. I had all the materials to make what she made so I simply copied her design.
2. I had to get a few materials that included a handful of q-tips, scissors, glue, a pencil, and a white or any plane colored paper. I happened to have all those materials which made the process very easy to do which saved me time, money, and stress. I selected to make this skeleton because it was not only convenient with the materials needed, but it was also very simple to make. I had to label my skeleton with the appropriate words and used my pencil to draw a skeleton head that I found on the internet and use the scissors to cut the head out of the paper I drew it on. I then had to cut in half most of the q-tips to make the body, feet, and hands. The rest of the q-tips were used to make the legs and arms.
3. Making this skeleton overall wasn’t too taxing and didn’t take much time at all to make. It was a fun new experience since I never really draw or make new things for any of my classes. Even though making this skeleton wasn’t that difficult, I soon after felt someone proud of myself for making a decent looking skeleton. I think it’s important to know the names of your bones because you may be injured and a doctor could tell you that a specific bone is broken or damaged, it can also be useful for exercise because you know what bone is being worked on. It is important to know skeletal anatomy because you learn lots of new information about yourself and how your bones function inside your body.
